Lady In Waiting:  Becoming God’s Best While Waiting For Mr. Right

by Jackie Kendall

Jackie Kendal uses the story of Ruth to glean some truth on how to be content in your singleness. She offers advice and insight on how to conduct yourself properly when having friend relationships with young men. Also how to let God change you to be more like Him during the wait.

It showed me how much time and energy I was putting into trying to seek out a relationship.  I realized how much it was consuming my mind and that God wanted me to make some changes.I am totally content now in being single, most days, lol.

The Five Love Languages Of Children

By Gary Chapman

This book shows you how children connect with others in their relationships and you can form meaningful relationships with them.

So reading this book has allowed me to make deep connections with the students that come through my classroom and keep those connections with them as they get older..

Cross Cultural Connections

By Duane Elmer

This book explains how to make connections on the mission field. It paves the way to understand how to adapt to culture instead of trying to change it to make it more “American.”

This book was required reading by my Mission agency. I’m so glad I did because it saved me from making many cultural and cross-cultural relational mistakes in order to have a more effective ministry.
