Connecting with Other Women in Ministry

This whole month we’ve talked about finding and having close friends in ministry. This week I’m sharing some Facebook groups that offer community, friendship, and encouragement. Our digital age has made connecting with other women in ministry so much more accessible!

Check out these Facebook groups!

The Confidante

If you’re a pastor’s wife, be sure to go to The Confidante group, run by a ministry called CareForPastors.org. They have a closed FB group where the women who request membership are vetted to ensure it is a safe place to share struggles, get advice, and request prayer. This ministry is growing daily and offers retreats for pastors’ wives. They have also recently launched a safe FaceBook group for pastors’ kids.

The Pastor Wife Life

Another Facebook group that is for pastor’s wives is called The Pastor Wife Life. Founder Jacque Garner started this group over a year ago and it is quickly turning into one of the fastest growing FB groups for pastor’s wives. The group is comprised of pastors’ wives from different backgrounds that come together to share experiences, gain insight into ministry situations, to laugh together, and also post “Sunday Selfies”. Jacque also has a podcast titled The Pastor Wife Life that shares the life of a different pastor’s wife each week. A great source of encouragement!

Breathe Ministry Community

Breathe Ministry also has a closed Facebook group called Breathe Ministry Community. If you are in any position in full time ministry, you are welcome! We post fun questions, offer helpful tips, and find ways to pray for one another. Consider joining us by clicking here.

Christian Women Who Lead

If you hold any position in ministry leadership, you’ll want to check out the Facebook group Christian Women Who Lead. Founder Angela Herrington provides a fun, supportive atmosphere in this group and offers appealing graphics with her posts! She finds ways to offer helpful advice, while also opening up the group to questions and topics women in leadership are facing.

Leading and Loving It

Another great group that is intended to pour into the woman in ministry leadership is Leading and Loving It. Taken from their page, their purpose is to “connect, support, and encourage pastor’s wives and women in ministry leadership. We want you to know that you are not alone – we can do this together!” They offer ConnectLIVE or ConnectLOCAL groups for a more intimate sharing and supportive experience. You can get all the information from their page.

As with any social media, we encourage you to research these groups and the ministries behind them to see if they would be a good fit for you. Some are from a specific denominational background, while others are more open. Some are more focused on prayer and encouragement, while others are a growing, active group. Pray about your needs, and ask God to lead you in deciding where to find a community. These options have made connecting with other women in ministry so much more fun!
