Okay Friend, which person were you today.
- You rose before the sun was even close to rising and put on your most comfy shopping clothes. You armed yourself and your friend with your favorite hot beverage. With your good shoes on and your body caffeinated, you conquered every store you set your sights on. Then you settled into a nice warm booth for a victory breakfast. Victory is yours!!!!
- You slowly got up with a Turkey, stuffing and pie hangover. You slowly sipped your favorite hot beverage not wanting to look at food for 24 hours or at least the next hour. You snuggled in your favorite chair for some me time to read a book, do your devotions or watch your first Christmas show. Victory is yours!!!!(You got up and brushed your teeth)
- You woke up to yelling kids in your bed who were still high off all the sugar from Thanksgiving dinner. You find one child in the kitchen eating pie for breakfast since it has fruit in it. The TV is blaring with a rerun of the same cartoon you have seen 20 million times. Your house looks like a thanksgiving bomb went off and you kids are begging you to put up the christmas tree and bake cookies. You walked away with your coffee to your room and shut the door. Victory is yours!!! (You did not Yell at anyone yet)
Holidays can look so different for all women. Some love the chaos and others absolutely hate it. But no matter how the next month goes for you, we can be grateful that each morning is a new beginning where we can snuggle right into Jesus.
5Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
